Our Story
SMILE AND HELP FOUNDATION is a German nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting communities in Africa, with a special focus on Tanzania. Our mission is to enhance education by building schools and orphanages, providing health insurance, assisting children with disabilities, and creating sports facilities and playgrounds for orphaned and disadvantaged children.
We work closely with local communities and our dedicated Tanzanian partners, **Guardian Angel Foundation for Africa**, to support initiatives led by local Africans. We believe that empowering communities to develop projects they value creates a more meaningful and lasting impact than simply funding external ideas. Since 2019, our efforts have been entirely volunteer-driven, with no financial compensation for our volunteers or partners.
Since then, we have launched new initiatives and expanded our existing programs. In 2022, we officially registered **SMILE AND HELP** as a nonprofit organization under German tax laws, strengthening our commitment to making a lasting impact.

The SMILE AND HELP FOUNDATION, led by its founder Roland Benkeser, is dedicated to creating a brighter future for young girls and boys in Africa. Through education, reliable healthcare, and opportunities for a fulfilling childhood, we strive to make a lasting impact. We also ensure that our supporters stay informed about how their donations are used and the difference they make—whether through sponsorships, health insurance, educational programs, new sports facilities, playgrounds, or other vital initiatives.
We work closely with local communities to ensure every donation goes directly to its intended purpose. At SMILE AND HELP e.V., we focus on helping, not imposing beliefs. Founder Roland Benkeser guarantees that 100% of donations support chosen projects.
