It all began two years ago with 18 curious, bright-eyed children in the heart of a small Maasai village in Tanzania, East Africa. Today, just two years later, Giulia Gwinn, the German national soccer player, has sparked an incredible enthusiasm and movement that no one would have thought possible.
Through her support and passion for the people of Africa, the number of children attending school has grown to an incredible 260. Starting with the new school year in January 2025, this number will rise to 330 children – a milestone that demonstrates the power of education and sport.
For these children, the journey to school is not only a journey into the future but also a daily struggle. They walk up to 10 kilometers to school in the morning and back again in the evening, just to have the chance to learn and grow.
Beyond being an ambassador, Giulia has taken on a deeply personal role as a godmother to 3 wonderful girls in Tanzania. Through her support, these girls have access to education, healthcare, and a brighter future. Her kindness and generosity ensure that they receive the love, care, and opportunities every child deserves.
There is another incredible change: For the first time, girls are also allowed to play sports – and not only that. They are playing soccer alongside boys. It’s more than a game; it’s a symbol of equality, hope, and a new era in their community. And who could be a better role model than Giulia Gwinn? She is not only an extraordinary person on the soccer field but also a true guardian angel off it. The children in Africa love and adore her for her warmth, her commitment, and her tireless support. Giulia shows that sports and education can build bridges that connect cultures and change the future of entire generations.
– Highlighting the challenges children in Tanzania face.
– Helping provide essential resources like education, healthcare, and sports facilities.
– Encouraging others to join the movement and make a lasting impact.
Thanks to Giulia’s inspiring support, two remarkable projects have been successfully completed in Tanzania:
The Giulia Gwinn Stadium offers children a professional-quality football pitch where they can train, compete, and build confidence. It stands as a powerful symbol of opportunity, hope, and ambition. Right next to it, the Massai Sports Center was completed with a multifunctional court
Here the kids can play handball, volleyball, basketball, soccer and real netball. It promotes equality, inclusion, and healthy living for the entire community. Today, hundreds of children already benefit daily from these facilities — places where they can dream big, stay active, and shape their future. But this is just the beginning. Together, with Giulia, we are building not only fields and classrooms — we are building dreams.
You, too, can be part of this journey. Your support can change lives and create brighter futures.
Together, we can bring smiles and hope to children in need. Thank you, Giulia, for being a true champion on and off the field!
